A Letter from Manav Gupta

Parta Capital was born out of my own hard-learned lessons in the financial world. Lending money to relatives and never seeing it return, offering
unsecured loans to small businesses in dreams of high returns, venturing into unrelated non-core businesses, and treating equity investments like lottery tickets—driven by emotions and constant buying and selling—were mistakes that cost me years of underperformance.

These experiences weren’t just financial setbacks; they were wake-up calls. They taught me the importance of discipline, impartial advice, and strategic decision-making in achieving true financial success. I started Parta Capital to ensure that others don’t have to navigate the same pitfalls.

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and a Master of Science in Management & Finance from City
University, London. Outside of the financial world, I am a passionate scuba diver, a multi-disciplinary artist, a badminton enthusiast, Taekwondo
practitioner and an adventurous traveler. These pursuits inspire my belief in balance, perseverance, and the continuous pursuit of excellence in every aspect of life.
